To honor her legacy, I decided to continue the event alongside my close friends, rebranding it as the Angélique Koedijk Tournament. Together, we are dedicated to organizing a day where inclusivity and the joy of football can thrive. This special sports event, held in memory of my mother, took place on December 28th, 2024, at Sportcomplex ’t Wooldrik in Borne. The tournament is open to youth aged 9 to 12 and recreational teams.

As the head of the organization, I oversee all aspects of the event, from planning to execution, ensuring that it reflects my mother’s vision and values. I am also responsible for creating the branding that captures the spirit of the tournament and brings the community together. The day promises to be filled with football, fun, and festive winter vibes, complete with warm drinks and snacks on-site, making it a truly memorable occasion for everyone involved.
